Feels Like Home

I have missed my home in Alaska for a long time now. It makes me happy to wake on to mornings like this. Believe me it doesn't happen very often here in Texas! This is the view from my front door. Its amazing how beautiful everything is with a little snow. Today will be spent drinking lots of tea and roasting a chicken with veggies. yum. I think I think I will bake a little too. I am very at peace right now.

Real Food Challenge

I recently have cleaned out our home of processed fake food. Step one of the 28 day Real Food Challenge on http://nourishedkitchen.com/28-day-real-food-challenge/. Today I started to replace our old food with Raw Milk from my local dairy farm, Lucky Layla, that is only 2 blocks from my house (you can't get much more local than that), organic apples, and homemade oat bread. This is only the beginning of a journey down the road to simple traditional living.
